Vanessa
Vanessa Hörster was born on May 22nd 1978 in Dorsten. When she was a child it was clear
that she would become a singer. She sang current chart hits as well as composing her own songs
. At the age of 10 she had her first gig. Soon after she formed a band named "Wheels"
who performed covers of other peoples songs. Performing at parties in the Münsterland,
the band sang hit songs by Mariah Carey and Alanis Morissette among others.
At the end of 1997 she met up with the Dune producers and it was decided that she would be
the new vocalist for the group. In April 1998, the group debuted their new single "Keep the secret",
the first with Vanessa on vocals. The song was leaned more towards trance than techno but was
well received by the fans judging from its chart position of 36. However, the follow up single "Electric heaven" didn't achieve similar success, only reaching No. 54 in the charts.
Dune decided to rethink their strategy and, as Vanessa didn't fit in with their ideas, the individuals
soon parted ways. Recently Vanessa has worked on several projects as a backing singer. Among
these are Loona and DJ Sammy. On this moment she's touring in Germany with her band Wheels.
